How to Check Reviews on Resume Writing Services

Why and how should one check reviews for resume writing services? It is just a case of going on social media and seeing what people are saying? In most cases, social media is fairly useless when it comes to resume writers because few people wish to openly brag to their friends that they just got their last job because of a resume writer, especially since their new friends are likely to be co-workers.

 Resumeble reviews

It is not that resume writing services are illegal or immoral, but most people like to take the credit for getting their new job rather than telling their co-workers that somebody else wrote their resume. Many people, however, are so happy with their resume and their new job that they are happy to tell strangers about the resume services they used, and that is why there are so many resume writing service reviews on the internet these days.

Try Bing First Before Going to Google

Most people look for reviews by going straight to Google and typing the name of the company verbatim into the search engine. This used to be a good idea until reputation managers started getting in on the action. These days, if a company doesn't have any links to negative content on the first page of Google, then it is because it is using a good reputation manager.

However, few companies prioritize removing negative reviews from the first page of Bing, so hop onto Bing and type in the name of the company, and maybe add in “Resume writing service” at the end if the company is very new.

When you use Google, try to search out the worst reviews on purpose. For example, if you were looking for the worst movie reviews, you may write the sentence, “Why does XX-Movie Name-XX suck?” and you can do a similar thing with resume writing services. For example, “Downsides to XX-Business Name-XX” or “XX-Business Name-XX ripoff” and so forth.

Should You Be Checking On Trustpilot?

The Trustpilot website is rather old and very big. It has a large and strong reputation to uphold, and for that reason, it is less likely to engage in the most common review-website scams. For example, they are probably not taking money from companies with a view to removing negative reviews, nor are they likely to accept review manipulation.

For example, the Resumeble reviews are on the URL: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.resumeble.com and it shows the thoughts of real people and real users. There is clearly no manipulation, spam posting, or otherwise untoward behavior because Trustpilot cannot risk its reputation.

Should You Trust SiteJabber?

One can make similar arguments for SiteJabber as with Trustpilot. The SiteJabber website has standards to uphold and a reputation to protect. If it is seen that their reviews can be tampered with, then the website’s entire premise falls flat and the company loses out in a big way.

Again, take a look at the reviews of Resumeble.com on SiteJabbber:

https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/resumeble.com

Nothing looks automated or spammed, and SiteJabbber removes any content that appears auto-bot placed or spammed in any way. SiteJabbber offers the sort of protection that enables users to trust the reviews they read there.

Should You Believe On-Page Reviews?

Obviously, if you are reading reviews about a company or a service on their own website, then you have to take what they write with a pinch of salt. You know that they control what is entered on their own website, and they are hardly likely to add their most horrible and damaging reviews on their own website. However, there are times when companies and services wish to show off their best reviews, so do not instantly disregard every on-page review you see.
