Delta Air Lines was founded in 1928 with reference to the Mississippi Delta as Delta Air Service. Their current headquarters in Atlanta (Georgia), the airline moved in 1941 and 1945, she was renamed Delta Air Lines. Check-in information

Depending on the situation, Delta airlines flights offer you several options to check-in in advance or at the airport. The most convenient option is certainly the so-called "Curbside Check-in". However, this service is only available at 100 locations in the US, not on flights from Europe or anywhere else. If you stop by your own car or taxi directly in front of the respective airport, you will be shown a photo ID and the confirmation number of your delta flight to the waiting staff of Delta (called "Skycaps"). Then the Skycaps will hand over your boarding pass and pick up your luggage. This will save you having to carry the heavy suitcases through the whole airport and have to check-in yourself. 

Baggage regulations and fees

The hand luggage regulations for Delta airlines flights are quickly explained: One piece of hand luggage per guest may be taken. In its overall dimensions (ie length + height + width) it must not exceed 114 cm. In addition, you may also take another small carry-on bag - such as a handbag or a laptop with a bag - on board. The amount of Checked Baggage Checked / Checked is for Delta Air Lines based on your destination as well as the ticket class you have booked. As a general rule, Delta Air Lines will carry at least 1 piece of luggage weighing no more than 23 kg free of charge for you in Economy Class. Seating and reservations

If you have booked the economy class Y, B or M fare or are a member of the Delta airlines flights frequent flyer program, you can reserve a seat for free during the booking process. Also later this service is still possible. For all other economy class fares, it is only possible to book a seat for a fee. The reservation, as well as the payment, has to be made during the check-in process, whether online or mobile, at the machine or at the counter. The fee due depends on the type of seat you wish to have (window, corridor, near the emergency exit, etc.) and the length of each flight. Other seats with more legroom and comfort are also bookable but also cost more accordingly.
