Do you remember when was the last time you bought your bus ticket at the counter? Or you did not check the bus status? 

As a bus reservation manager, It is really hard to manage customers without a proper bus reservation system. By proper reservation system, I meant the must-have features on a bus reservation software. Let’s discuss the features a little bit more.  

Online Ticketing: This is one of the must-have features of a bus reservation system. Customers must have this opportunity to book the tickets online. Ticket availability and prices should be declared with this feature. It will help managers to understand the number of passengers on each bus and also help them to make the decision about introducing more fleet on that particular route. 

Fleet Management System: Route management, 24/7 counter & agent activities, detail record of vehicles, all these are under the Fleet Management module. This feature will help managers to manage his stuff very efficiently. Moreover, top management will have a bigger picture to follow the growth of the organization.  

Counter & Agent Management: Counter & Agent management is another essential part of a bus reservation system. Recording counter and agent details should be done with this module. Tracking agents’ performance can also be done by this module. It will help the managers to evaluate each and every agent individually and make effective business decisions accordingly. 

Payment, Price, and Offer Management: In Bus reservation system ticket pricing is very crucial. Price can be varied depending on customers’ demand. Sometimes as managers we need to send offers to our customers especially in off-seasons to attract them. This module can be very handy for those last-minute changes. With this module, customers will also able to pay their ticket prices using their credit/debit cards online. 

Vehicle fitness & performance evaluation module: In this module, managers would be able to monitor the performances of the buses and take necessary actions accordingly. This will help us to avoid unwanted accidents on the roads. 

Website and Mobile Apps: In any bus reservation system I would definitely look for a user-friendly yet well-designed website and obviously mobile apps to connect my prospective clients online. This will help my customers to connect with my organization all the time and they can take action on a 24/7 basis.
