Online NLP training is getting trendier as more and more people are finding it as an effective way of achieving better results in life. However, still, there are so many people who are still trying to figure out what NLP is all about. If you are also one of them, you have landed on the right page.

Introducing NLP – Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP is basically a skill set associated with the kind of communication that goes on within your mind and body. To understand it better, break the term and then explore what they refer to.

Neuro - This term refers to mind. It emphasizes especially on the states of mind (and body) that affect your communication and behavior. NLP is all about teaching a structured way of perceiving mind and body states and creating mental maps that reveal how things happen and how a particular course of action/habit/thinking can be changed.

Linguistic - In simple words, it is about the reflection of mind and body states in your language and non-verbal communication and gaining access to the inner workings of the mind. NLP teaches you how to access information stored in the unconscious mind that otherwise remain vague and hidden.

Programming - People, usually, live according to their programming that includes habitual thoughts, beliefs, reactions, and traditions (that means on autopilot mode). Someone who gets NLP training knows how such programs are structured and how to access them through language (conversation) to change the outdated programs and autopilot behaviors.

Four Pillars of NLP

Neuro-linguistic programming is mainly based on four pillars:

Rapport:

People with NLP skills have a natural ability to quickly build relationships with other people. A good rapport helps in developing trust which proves to be useful in various arenas of life. Once you get a good grasp of modality preferences, eye accessing cues and predicates, you can easily and quickly build a rapport.

Sensory Awareness:

The hues, smells, and sounds in different places are subtly different. NLP is the part that helps you process that your world is much richer when you deliberately pay full attention to your senses.

Outcome Thinking:

An outcome is usually connected with what you desire as opposed to getting stuck in a negative thinking mode. The principles of outcome approach help you make the best decisions and choices.

Behavioral Flexibility:

Behavioral flexibility explores the way to do something in a different manner if the way you are doing it at present is not working anymore. Becoming flexible is the key part of NLP training. Rather than sticking with the same thing, it expands your horizons to find newer, fresh perspectives and then slowly incorporate them into your daily behavior and repertoire.
