1. Practicing in an open space-
   The rider needs to initially start by practicing how to ride a unicycle in open space. In this way he can get over the fear of the unicycle going away from him. In a crowded environment, you can actually hit a car or a pedestrian, if you don't have enough practice. 
2. Starting with basics- 
   You would need to make sure that the unicycle is charged on and powered completely. Also, you must make sure that it always stays upright, even when you move the electric unicycle.
3. Positioning yourself-
   Finding the neutral position that gives you maximum balance is very important. You can start by putting the unicycle in-between your feet & then your dominant foot on one pedal. Then start making a few moves, until you find your comfortable position.
4. Maintaining the right postures-
   While riding a unicycle you need to maintain the right posture to keep your balance. Your shoulder and the upper body should be in a straight posture. This you will need to practice, as initially, you'll have the urge to lean forward or backward for keeping your balance. 
5. Steering-
   Once you're comfortable to move back and forth and maintain your balance you can start taking a good look at steering the unicycle. Steering can be done by keeping more weight on any of the legs.

The basic difference between an Electric Scooter and Electric Unicycle:

A unicycle doesn't have handles like electric scooters. Although this can be little scary in the beginning but once you get accustomed to riding it, you won't feel the same way again. Balancing on both of them is easy once you have enough practice but electric scooters are easier to balance for newbies compared to unicycles.
