What are the factors that affect the life of hydraulic motors?

  1) Bearing wear

Bearing wear is a determining factor influencing the soft life of a motor. The bearings used in motors are special bearings that carry a specific friction torque under specific operating conditions.

2) Hydraulic oil pollution

The pollution is mainly caused by man-made pollution. When the hydraulic filter element is replaced, the oil element in the filter cartridge is not drained or the filter element is replaced without draining the oil in the filter cartridge, causing the pollutants in the filter cartridge to exit from the filter cartridge. Directly into the fuel tank. When a particle larger than 10μm enters the motor, it will cause a scratch on the flow surface. This scratch will become a groove under the high-pressure oil washing for a long time. This groove is sufficient to cause the motor to fail. .

3) Cavitation erosion

When there is a small failure range of the main engine oil pipeline and component joint seals manufacturers, the main engine hydraulic pump will suck air from the failed part, so that the high-pressure oil entering the motor contains air bubbles. Under the action of the oil squeeze, the air bubbles in the motor cylinder Explosion and rupture in the body will cause cavitation of the cylinder body. When the cavitation is severe, it will cause the copper space between the cylinder's distribution surface to collide. Another reason for inhaling air is the small volume of the hydraulic oil tank or the unreasonable design of the partition plate in the oil tank. When the hydraulic system returns to the oil, the air bubbles in the oil have not been completely eliminated and are sucked away by the pump suction port.

4) Motor speed

The speed of the motor is related to the life, durability, cavitation and noise of the motor. The selection of the speed of the motor should be in strict accordance with the technical regulations and must not exceed the maximum speed value. Within the allowable speed range, the optimal speed should be selected according to the working conditions, and the minimum speed should not be less than 50r / min.

5) Oil leakage pressure in motor housing

The drain pressure in the housing depends on the maximum pressure allowed by the shaft seal, which is generally 0.2 MPa. If the housing drain pressure is too high, the shaft seal will be prematurely damaged.

6) Connect different axes

When the different axis of the pulley shaft and the motor spindle is greater than 0.1mm, the vibration generated by its high-speed rotation will be directly reflected on the motor spindle bearing, reducing the service life of the front bearing of the spindle.

7) Operating environment

The working environment also affects the condition of the hydraulic motor. For example, during the cutting operation, the main machine, the cutter and the frame will generate large vibrations, which will have a damaging effect on the hydraulic motor parts.

8) Maintenance method

Any improper maintenance methods will cause damage to the hydraulic motor. and of a hydraulic motor is a delicate, complex and highly professional job. Maintenance personnel must carefully read the motor's maintenance manual and adjust the static bearing clearance in accordance with the requirements of the regulations.
