Tibet is one of the most fascinating, intriguing and gripping places in the world owing to which it has become one of the tourist centers globally. Some of the common modes of transportation that you can find here includes buses, jeeps, hitch-hikes and bicycles amongst other options. The jeeps are one of the most popular mode of transportation owing to its wide scale operations. Travelling with jeeps is not particularly cheap but the tour operators handle all the required paperwork and you can stick to your pre-defined schedule when moving in and around the place. Bicycle travelling is also pretty common and you can find a number of foreigners or tourists who choose this mode of transport. The roads that you can find here vary from dirt to well laid concrete roads depending on the different areas of Tibet that you are travelling.

In terms of tourist destinations or places to see there are wonderful locations in the form of Potala palace, Jokhang temple, Barkhor street, Summer palace of Dalai Lama, Namtso lake, the Rongbukk monastery, Jiuzhaigou and Chamdo amongst others.

Jiuzhaigou is a popular tourist destination that is listed on UNESCO world heritage and the place is stunning with its scenic charming the visitors. After the earthquake in 2017, the place has been reopened for the tourists. There are some restrictions with only 5000 tourists allowed on a daily basis and in terms of timings the tourists are allowed between 8:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the evening.
