Removing the Damaged or Old Cellulose Insulation from the Attic

When your old cellulose insulation isn’t working well anymore then you should think to replace the cellulose material with the new material for keep the insulation working up to the mark. Most of the times we are quite irritated with the moisture in the insulation layer and ready to go for the insulation removal process… But we generally don’t know how to do it. So, if you want to do it by your own then you must need to do some research on the insulation removal vacuum for sale and other materials.

So, here is how to remove the old cellulose insulation from the attics:

Most of the times cellulose insulation is blown with the recycle newspapers as a material therefore while removing there would be dust all over the home therefore you should cover up all the things in your home with plastic cover or drop cloth so that the dust won’t make the things messy. And later on it would be quite a headache when you will have to clean up the things later on.

The most important thing here is to know the process of removing the material. Well, with the ordinary shovels you just can’t remove the cellulose insulation successfully and you must need to have highly powered cool Insulation removal vacuums   for the job. If you will use shovel or other tool then it will produce lots of dust all over the home.

Generally if you use the CoolVac electric insulation removal vacuums   for the required suction power we just require to generate for the complete cleaning of the old material from the attic. Also you should use the stronger bags to collect the sucked material for later disposal – you should prefer the bags which are bigger in the sizes.

Now once you have all the needed things in place it’s time to start the removal process:

You should know that removal process takes time because there are many narrow spaces in attic where you have to crawl so that the vacuum can suck off all the old material. It’s a good idea to start the process from the farthest end and slowly crawl backwards sucking off the material through the crawl spaces into the insulation removal vacuum bags. However, this process keeps quite the dust out of the place but still you should prefer the drop clothes for covering up the house. For approx 1.5K Sq Feet area of attic the removal process may take up to 8 to 12 hours.
