The planet earth has been divided into192 countries, each with a different set of languages, cultures, and beliefs.Every country in the world has its own sense of communication and lifestyle to represent themselves as they are. The mixture of these cultures often lead to deep conversations and often disagreements. The world is home to 7.7 billion people and every existing individual represents seven percent of the population from when the earth came into existence. However, what started the trend of divisions amongst countries?

For years, people have been curious to explore what is on the other side of the world. Ever since Columbus discovered that the world is round, and people won’t fall off the edge of the earth; the importance of exploration increased significantly. Soon after traveling encouraged common cultures to unite and form a sort of unity. With the sense of unity came to power. People soon began to realize the importance of traveling. In other words, it had opened new and unexplored doors as business opportunities. In the making of strong formations of countries, militaries, and governments from the beginning of time; people have felt the need to gain more territory.

When history first began, the mentality of the people existing at that period of time valued wealth in association with land and possession. The man with the most land under his name and control is the wealthiest and most powerful today. In some ways, this type of thought process and mentality still exists to this day. However, over time people would travel across the sea to discover more and new land. This eventually led to the popularity of trade. In the Asian region, the Chinese Silk Road became one of the most prominent routes for trade for many people. Even the Arabs were known to rule the sea with their trading techniques and unique goods.

Along with cotton, silk, pulses, spices, artifacts, and gold; knowledge was an additional factor of trade. Languages, math, science, art, poetry, and medicine were a number of factors that have originated from one place and have spread to another with the help of traders. The exchange of communication and knowledge had increased the opportunities for innovation with simple machines and inventions. In one way or another, every country was taking part in this social and economic revolution. What had initially started off as a barter system, had ended up encouraging countries to create currency. The concept of worth with monetary value had taken over the world to a great extent. The same way the concept of innovation in digitalization has taken over the world in a heartbeat.
