3 Kitchen Shortcuts You Should Always Keep Up Your Sleeve

Posted by Vivian on December 17th, 2019

These days it's not every day we cook at home. And when we do, it's almost always under a time limit. And for good reason, we are so pressed for time these days it's no wonder we're always doing things like cooking, in a hurry. Thankfully there are some shortcuts you can take to make sure that you're always well equipped to create your best recipes that goes beyond the basic pan and spatula checklist.

Here are a few to always make sure you have in your kitchen:

Easy Dinner Ideas List

Sometimes the last thing we want to do when we get home is to cook a recipe we haven't even chosen yet. And when it takes us way too long to choose what we'll eat, then we always revert to the usual over expensive takeout meal or the quick and fast ramen noodle cup.

It always pays when you take some time to either practice creating easy dinner ideas that are also healthy for you or dinner ideas that you can recreate with a quick glance at one of the recipes.

Conversion Charts

Knowing your conversions off the top of your head is pretty convenient. Unfortunately most of us don't have the mental bandwidth to be able to do it in a pinch. That's why having a liquid conversion chart with liquid conversions handy is never a bad idea. Better yet, print one out and put it on your fridge door, that way you never forget and you have a place to look back on.

A Recipe Binder

Going along with a recipe list, this idea is also genius. Keeping a recipe binder is always great when you have no idea where to store your most favorite recipes. Yes, saving your favorite recipes online, like for example on Pinterest, can be a good way to do it. But if you want a place where you can get to your recipes quickly and enjoy creating beautiful archives of your most favorite things then a recipe binder is the way to go. There are lots of printable recipe binders out there that you can check out to choose your favorite.

There's no shortage of ideas and templates that you can find online to make sure you keep all your best recipes. The short of it all is there isn't any excuse to not cook at home most days. It's overall more financially sound to do so.
