Sure, the internet a couple of years ago was slow and not very reliable, but today it is a high speed, easy accessible information highway.

Have you ever stopped to consider how much the internet also means for more sensitive subjects such as salvation, depression, anxiety and other matters. You're probably thinking that the thought of finding online salvation is a bit far-fetched, but I would have to disagree with you. Think about the person somewhere on the outskirts of a war-torn country... They don't have access to religious literature, support groups and churches - where should they go for this information. Think about the child who was raised with certain beliefs he was never allowed to question - where could he search for more answers.

The wonderful thing about the internet is that you don't have to talk to someone face to face. You can do a search for whatever topic you need information on and have a look at all the various discussion groups and other resources available. Say for example you are suffering from mild depression, or perhaps you are battling to sleep. Now you can simply log onto the internet and do a search - you will be amazed to see how many people battles with the same issues and are able to provide some assistance, guidance and support. And all of that without having to leave your house.

The same goes for religious matters. Many of us walk around with a lot of questions and uncertainties. We were maybe raised into a specific religion but were never allowed to explore further and get specific answers. Some of us never had the privilege to learn more about the written Word and are hungry for information. If we don't have the guts by lack of a better word to talk about these matters and ask questions, how would we learn. That's right, we can log onto the internet and learn more about how we are supposed to be living our lives.
