I feel that the buy gold classic wow majority of people are going to play WoW Classic till some stage where they break of getting limited mana, getting one shotted, wiping 300+ times, items getting stolen, each guild trying to duplicate Leeroy Jenkins, an excessive amount of grind, bad luck strike, bad luck wipes (taunt miss for instance ), and many many many other shit that they never saw before will make them quit WoW Classic or return to retail. That's my point of view. I was kicked from a guild in TBC because"I shed mana too fast". Yet another thing; I actually agree with your point of several specs aren't going to be viewed played raid will be a game breaker. As myself I'm going to play enhancement shaman on account of the broken windfury they'd had, but I feel that I am not going to quit playing retail as well due to the simple fact that I'm actually enjoying it (Yeah I fucking know retail is crap waah waah).
