Posted by Nicki Naturizer on December 26th, 2019

Air pollution is definitely a chance of suspended particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from factories, dust; pollen and mold spores contribute to the harmful suspension as particles. Air pollution happens when solid and liquid particles—called aerosols—and certain harmful gases end up in our air. These particles and gases can be bad for the planet and for our health, so keeping track of them is important.

What Is Aerosols: The solid and liquid particles and certain gases that are suspended in the air and these particles and gases can come from car and truck exhaust, factories, dust, etc. The solid and liquid particles suspended in our air are called aerosols.

Disparities in the Impact of Air Pollution

Many studies have looked at differences in the impact of air pollution on premature death. Results have varied widely, particularly for effects between racial groups. Some studies have found no differences among races, 3 while others found greater responsiveness for Whites and Hispanics, but not African Americans,4 or for African Americans but not other races or ethnic groups. 5 Other researchers have found a greater risk for African Americans from hazardous air pollutants, including those pollutants that also come from traffic (sources – American Lung Association)

There are several reasons for air pollution like Electric Utilities, Transportation, Residential Sources, Industries, Natural Disasters, Climate Change, Daily life routine, etc. Whether it comes from your car's exhaust pipe, dirty smokestacks or a forest fire, air pollution can be deadly but all these can be optimized for reducing air pollution.
