Protect your computer from the summer heat

Today we are dealing with another operation necessary for the maintenance of our pc. If we notice malfunctions in the operating system (for example slowdowns) these could be due to errors on the hard disk. Scandisk is the program already present on Windows operating systems and its function is precisely to find and repair errors on the disk. It is possible that we have already seen him running perhaps without knowing that it was him. In fact, it is performed automatically on the first start, preceded by a crash (for example due to a sudden power failure). However, it can be very useful to run it manually even if there have been no crashes.

Let's see how to perform the Scandisk :

Let's go to the computer;

Click once on the disk containing the operating system (normally the disk "C") to highlight it;

Now click on it with the right and select "properties";

In the window that opens let's move to the "tools" tab;

Click on "run ScanDisk";

A dialog will open, check the box "automatically correct file system errors";

If a new window opens, click on "yes"

Now the first time we restart our computer the ScanDisk will run, we can decide whether to do it now or wait. In case we want to do it immediately, we close all programs and start normally

During the ScanDisk we will see the execution on a black background before the normal start of windows, the errors present will be searched and repaired.

We hope this guide will be useful, for any doubt leave us a comment. We also invite you to read the other articles in the PC Or Laptop Repair Maintenance section to find out what other operations we can carry out to keep our computer in shape.
