Creating Ourselves From the Inside Out

That creativity includes our freedom, responsibility and accountability, to become whatever we want to be. In other words, in a certain sense we create ourselves.Now, we do not have a lot of influence over our initial education. However, once we become adults we are responsible for what we eat, what we listen to and learn. We are responsible and accountable, for all our thoughts, words and deeds.

Taking that responsibility is what sets us free from the culture of dependence, from drifting along accepting whatever life throws at us. Freedom is lawful, not lawless. The difference between a wild animal and a civilized human being is the rule of law. Human beings have our intellectual and spiritual perception, in addition to our instincts and animal passion.

Religion is the only real Source of the rule of law. The secular state is a secondary form of the rule of law that arises as a result of human beings interacting with each other, and practicing the rule of law revealed in our religion.

Justice is the absence of oppression. The golden rule, "do unto others, as you would have them do unto you," is a spiritual form of justice. Karma is justice. Be fair. Cause and effect are inherent attributes of both natural, and moral and spiritual reality.
