Losing Weight Without Spending a FortunePosted by Hadriel Sam on January 3rd, 2020 Americans spend more than billion a year Flora Spring Review of weight loss programs, products and even surgical procedures. Weight loss may be big business, but does that mean that you have to spend a fortune to shed a few extra pounds? Absolutely not! People were losing weight long before prepackaged diet foods; expensive gym memberships; exercise machines; and even diet pills, not to mention liposuction. Here's how: They Ate Less! Yes, it is true: the less you eat the more apt you are to lose weight. The average adult eats two to three times the amount of food their body needs every single day. Stick to about 1,200 to 1,800 calories of nutritious low fat food and you are likely to lose 1-3 pounds a week. Cut back on sweetened drinks and you could lose 21 pounds in a single year! And watch those portions. Always opt for smaller portion sizes and keep meat selections to the size of a deck of cards. Be careful not to starve yourself though. Eating less than 1,000 calories per day will signal your body to hold onto its fat reserves, making even harder to shed those extra pounds. Like it? Share it!More by this author |
