Listing products on Amazon is one of the first steps you take to selling on the giant ecommerce marketplace. Before we go on to explain the process, let us first understand the key attributes and the information we need handy before we upload our first product on Amazon.
Key Attributes of Product Listing on Amazon:-
- Product Title
- Product Description
- Images
- Key Product Features
- Product Rating
- Reviews
Having said that, we need the following information in order to create a complete listing:-
- Unique Product Identifier or UPC code – Buy a UPC code for each of your product variation like colour, size etc.
- Product Images – Clear high resolution images of the product taken from different angles.
- Weight – You need information like product dimension, weight, size etc.
- Keywords – Have a list of well-researched powerful keywords that will make your listings searchable on Amazon.
- Product Description Draft – Look up descriptions of similar products on the site and have a rough draft ready.
Now that we have everything ready lets take a look at the process of uploading your product on Amazon.
- Login to your Amazon Seller Central Account
- Click on Inventory
- Click on ‘Add a Product’
- Click on’Create a New Product Listing’
- Select the category and subcategory
- Once you are on the setup page, Click On Advanced View
- Fill in the fields
- Complete the description page.
- Create an Amazon Product listing with variations.
- Download the Inventory listing file, fill it and upload it.
