As to methods, there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.

It is true to say that there are many methods to learn a language. Crystal Clear English is the result of years of teaching, knowledge and experience gained throughout Spain. Over this time, we have come into contact with a wide range of people as well as different methods of teaching. Rather than a specific method, Crystal Clear English focuses on 4 principals which serve as the basis of our teaching.

Firstly, it is vital that students comprehend the material before them. That they understand the fundamentals of the language and useful structures. As they continue to acquire new structures our teachers make sure that they are used accurately. Mistakes will be instantly recognised and corrected. We aim for a balance between high paced activities and opportunities for free speech, but the focus of the classes is improving our students’ verbal agility. Students will be put under pressure to use their language dynamically, all the while remaining accurate. The purpose is to not simply to make students feel more comfortable using the language, but rather to give them a range of tools to use in any situation. For us it is more important that our students are able to communicate accurately and fluently than passing an exam. We will continue to motivate you until this becomes a reality.
