In Choosing Your Cosplay Costume

Cosplay is always popular in Japan and other Asian countries; However, in recent years, Cosplay has also attracted many young adults in other western countries. The term cosplay costume allows young people to dress up as their favorite anime characters with accessories. As their popularity gains public acceptance in today's society, many young people are interested in putting on these costumes.

When choosing a costume, there are things that one should consider to carry it out successfully. Although one would wear a costume, many consider it a hobby and for those interested in participating in competitions, choosing their costume wisely will probably result in a positive experience.

Costume

To succeed in wearing your anime costume, one must become the character and, as such, the costume design, accessories, and other construction designs must be displayed in the attire. It is essential to pay attention to details such as detailed seams, the color of the fabric and even the finish to resemble that of the costume. Some competitions are strict with the construction of the design and this criterion could be included in the evaluation.

One of the important factors considered in the costume is the color and pattern of the outfit. As the outfit often conveys the character's roles and emotions, vibrant colors are used for the protagonist, while the shady colors are for the antagonists. Female characters often have soft shades of color, such as pink, yellow and red, while male characters are in blue, gold, red and white. You can also add some other colors to match the personality of the character.

Costume

Can you wear clothes of the opposite sex? One certainly can! Many anime characters known as bishounen or female-looking male characters are popular and very accepted. A woman can dress like a man and vice versa. The important criterion here is that the user must have distinguishable characteristics of the opposite sex so that he can play the role without any difficulty.

Care maintenance

Taking care of the outfit depends on whether one would wear it regularly or only once. Clothes that are worn regularly should have durable fabrics and be easy to clean. These costumes can be a bit expensive; However, in terms of long-term investments, you can certainly save more. Disposable garments, on the other hand, are those that are worn only once. They are cheaper but less durable since they can last less time than the more expensive ones.
