Automotive Rear Spoiler Market

The Global Automotive Rear Spoiler Market is growing with the rapid pace. According to a recent study report published by the Market Research Future, The global market of automotive rear spoiler will grow at a rapid pace over the forecast period. The market is forecasted to witness slow but steady growth by 2023, which will be a surplus growth at a moderate CAGR during the projected period (2016 -2023).

The global automotive industry is more than a century old. In the previous times, the number of auto makers in the market were very few. The number of people who could afford an automobile were still less. Thus, owning a personalised automobile was a mark of true luxury and commanded respect in the society the world over. Thus, the technical specifications or the overall vehicle in general, including its looks, its aesthetic appeal etc. were totally decided and controlled and governed by the auto makers. Thus, due more demand and very / limited supply, the automotive industry of that time was a market driven / manufacturer driven industry. This meant, the auto makers would control the overall industry and people would lap up whatever product they could get their hands on. The situation continued for many decades (especially till the end of the World War 2). Post that, in the 1950s, the situation began to change for the good. The global markets started getting opened up and economies of some the world’s most advanced nations of those times also opened to the world. This caused the development of a lot of automotive manufacturers the world over (especially in countries like Germany, U.S., and Japan). This started increasing a healthy competition within these players and suddenly, the consumers were presented with a plethora of options in the automotive sector. There were different types, sub types, segments and sub segments. This caused the market situation to turn upside down. In a matter of few decades, the automotive industry became consumer centric and the consumer driven. This meant, the demand was less and the supply (and the variety was much more).

This caused the auto makers to turn their attention to fine tuning the existing aspects and providing niche features to differentiate their product offering from their competitors. This went to a point where in, the technical and aesthetic features both were thought about and worked upon with zest by the auto makers. One such aspect under the technical features was the vehicle performance and ways in which it could be improved. One approach was to provide a more efficient engine and drive mechanism to provide added boost and technical finesse improving the automobile functionality. Another approach was to reduce the vehicle drag and thus pay more attention to the power-to-weight ratio thus increasing the vehicle efficiency. This could be achieved by reducing the vehicle weight and improving the vehicle thermodynamics. Thus attention was given to the body design to reduce the unnecessary wind force causing the vehicle to slow down. This is where the automotive rear spoilers came into picture which are basically externally installed automotive thermodynamic component, which helps in reducing the wind thrust and also helps direct the oncoming wind in the right direction. This helps in providing vehicle stability, minimises the vehicle drag due to wind and enhances the speed and vehicle functionality.
