Golden triangle tour 3 days - We took Shatabdi from Delhi to Dehradun, which was convenient as always. We reached Dehradun at 1pm. As soon as we stepped outside the railroad station , we took a prepaid taxi from Dehradun railroad station to Mussoorie. there's absolutely NO hassle in getting a prepaid taxi, the fare is fixed, and there are many taxis available.

On our thanks to Mussoorie, we got really hungry and requested the drivers to require a ten minutes break. Little reluctant within the beginning they agreed and stopped at midway dhaba. I don’t remember the name, but I can tell you that it had been where I had the simplest Maggi EVER. We also gave some tip to the drivers which they appreciated.

We finally reached our hotel, Country Inn Suites and Resorts. it's slight uphill and off the Mall Road. They welcomed us with an enormous smile and lot of heat . We got executive rooms on ground floor , which were nice, cozy, neat and clean.

I would call it a 3.5 star property. the sole drawback was that the rooms weren't facing the valley. All their valley facing rooms are suites this is often what we were told. Each room had a sweet little balcony, but unfortunately they might not be used as tons of monkeys are roaming round the place, But i feel that holds true for all the resorts therein area.

Last summer also we visited Mussoorie during a different hotel, and that we had similar problem. Food served was little inconsistent. sometimes it had been good, whereas some meals weren't up to the mark. Day 2 we visited Company Garden.

Once you reach there and if you're with children, there are few rides for teenagers that they will enjoy, and tiny pond where boating are often done. The pond is just too small for boating hence will only be enjoyed by kids. I enjoyed another round of Maggi J amid mixed vegetable pakoras. therein weather, the piping hot pakoras are so delectable.

After returning , we went straight to the Mall Road. you'll buy a couple of things like export surplus garments and jackets. Hand-knitted woolens from Mussoorie Emporium are recommended for teenagers . One thing you ought to NOT miss is that the famous omelette.

We returned back from Mall and enjoyed tea at our hotel. The dinner was far better and therefore the occupancy had also increased since first day. On 3rd day, after much insistence of my 2 year old, we took the horse ride from Mall Road till the purpose where you board the car . We thought it had been little overpriced, but the youngsters enjoyed it thoroughly so it had been okay.

The ropeway takes you to Gun Hill, which is that the second highest point in Mussoorie and it offers picturesque view of Mussoorie town and Doon Valley. There are few eating stalls and gaming stalls for Hoopla, Gun Shots etc. but nothing more. Around afternoon, we returned back to our hotel and verified within 30 mins. With kids you'd always need an area to shower before leaving for journey back home.
