What are the six types of stepper motors that we sell?
The six different types of stepper motors that we carry and sell are High Torque (Square) Stepper Motors, Standard (Round) Stepper Motors, Permanent Magnet(PM) Stepper Motors, IP65 Rated Seal Stepper Motors, Stepper Motors with Integrated Drivers, and Stepper Motors with integrated Drivers and Controllers.

How can 4 wire, 6 wire and 8 wire stepper motors be connected?
First of all two drivers exist Unipolar and Bipolar, Unipolar drives output to 6 leads of a step motor and Bipolar output to 4 leads of a step motor. So a 4 lead motor can only be connected to a Bipolar driver. A 6 lead and 8 lead stepper motor can either be connected to a Unipolar driver and or a Bipolar driver. A wiring diagram shows the possible connections.

How many electrical phases are in a stepper motor?
The number of electrical phases in a stepper motor is defined as the number of independent winding coils being used.
Which Stepper Motors are compatible to stepper motor drIver DPD?
The stepper motor driver is compatible to high-torque stepper motors, consider our popular 23Y, 34Y, 42Y. Or standard torque (round-bodied) motors: 23W, 34W, 23D, 34D, and 42D.
What is the difference between a 4-wire and 6-wire stepper motor?
What is the difference between a 4-wire and 6-wire stepper motor?
How many types of stepper motors are there?
There are three different types of stepper motors, Permanent Magnet, Variable Reluctance, and Hybrid.

Why is my stepper motor stalling?
In some cases, stalling of a stepper motor causes a large voltage spike that often damages the phase transistors on the driver. Some drivers are designed to protect themselves from such occurrences. If not, Transient Suppression Devices can be added externally. Consult the factory for further information.
