I'm a foreigner, my husband is a Polish citizen. We live abroad. Can I obtain Polish citizenship and what conditions should I apply for?

Marriage with a Polish citizen is not a sufficient basis for citizenship. To obtain citizenship, a foreigner must fulfill the conditions of legal and continuous (permanent) residence in Poland. I am of Polish descent and would like to apply for a permanent residence permit. When can I apply for Polish citizenship?

You can apply for a permanent residence permit if you have proof of Polish origin. How do the authorities verify the continuity of residence if there are no entry and exit stamps in my passport?
