List of Ayurvedic Medicine for Kidney Damage

The kidney is one of the important organs of the body, which has many functions that control the cycle. Many other organs of the renal system are connected with kidneys and partially dependent on it. In addition, many factors affect kidney’s functioning and make it ill. The kidney is said to be the waste treatment center of the body whose failure can cause accumulation of numerous toxins resulting in major kidney diseases. 1. Squash - This is a very common native vegetable. The seeds of this vegetable are hoarded with enormous benefits for renal diseases.

2. White pine - This is a tree whose bark is rich with certain natural solutions that can treat many kidney diseases. According to a study, there are some supplements present in this tree that helps in the improvement of functions of the kidneys. Moreover, it reduces the level of excess protein in the urine and improves the flow of blood.

3. Purple pitcher plant - Purple pitcher plant is a highly effective herb. The roots and leaves of this herb have many medical uses. However, it is important to take some necessary precautions if the patient is a pregnant woman or even doing breastfeeding. This is because the components of the herb may cause harm to the mother as well as the baby. The purple pitcher plant is rich with tannins and other supplements that lend a hand in curing kidney-related as well as digestive problems. It is believed that this is a good Ayurvedic medicine for the kidney.

4. Tamarack - The scientific name of this herb is Larix Laricina. This herb belongs to the family of pine. Good tea can be prepared out of the herb that can effectively treat kidneys and other conditions like jaundice and anemia. Moreover, the resin part of this herb is chewable and can benefit a person if he/she has indigestion. Burns and ulcers can also be treated with this herb.

5. Striped maple - The relation of this herb is with maple family. The leaves of this herb are good for treatment purpose. The bark of this tree has some amazing features that can effectively treat numerous conditions associated with the kidneys. Moreover, this herb is also good for the treatment of chronic gastritis and certain problems associated with the bladder. It is gentle in use and is rich with classic relaxing alterants.

6. Bunchberry - The scientific name of bunchberry is Cornus Canadensis. It is also known as crackerberry, dwarf dogwood, pigeonberry, grouse berry, dwarf cornel, pudding berry. It belongs to the dogwood family. It is a creeper. The part of this herb that can be used as an Ayurvedic medicine for kidney damage is berry, leaves, bark and the root. Apart from kidneys, this herb is also very useful for the skin, lungs and nervous system. It is rich with certain antibiotic properties such as aperient, nervine, anti-inflammatory, etc.

7. Labrador tea - The shoots of this plant bears flowers, which are used in the preparation of medicine. Moreover, the other part of this plant that has medicinal quality is its leaves. It is very helpful for the treatment of kidney problems, joint, and muscle pain and cancer. This herb can be used in the form of a beverage.

8. Cucumber root - We all are aware of the incredible qualities of cucumber. We consume this vegetable in the salad, sandwiches, and many more. This vegetable is enormously healthy. Many health issues can be easily prevented just by adding cucumber to the diet. It prevents high and low blood pressure, as it is rich in fiber and magnesium. The cholesterol can be reduced with the help of the sterols present in this vegetable. Moreover, cholesterol is said to be a major reason behind kidney disease. Any chance of getting any kidney disease can be prevented with this vegetable as it keeps us hydrated.

9. Uva Ursi - Uva ursi is said to be an effective Ayurvedic medicine for the kidney. The leaves of this herb are used for the preparation of medicines. Uva ursi is known by different names such as Bearberry, Beargrape, Uvae Ursi Folium, Mountain Cranberry, Petit Buis, etc. This herb can effectively treat disorders such as kidney infections and other infections in the bladder and urethra. It brings down the level of bacteria in the urine.

10. Asparagus - Asparagus is a perennial herb that has low folic acid and assists in preventing kidney stones and certain problems in the bladder. It also helps in the reduction of urinary tract infections.

11. Garlic - Garlic can be seen in any kitchen of the world. It adds the flavor and aroma to the food. The use of garlic as the herb can also add quality and flavor to life. The antioxidant property of garlic can help in the betterment of the immune system. According to many studies, garlic is said to be an effectual item for the good health of the kidney.

12. Dandelion - Dandelion is a very beautiful flower and you must have read many poems about the flower of dandelion. For someone who is suffering from kidney disease dandelion is not just a flower but also an Ayurvedic medicine for kidney damage. The patient of kidney disease can boil the leaves of dandelion and consume it in the form of tea. Kindly do not add sugar to it.  This herb is hoarded with vitamins A, B, C, and D. Fresh and dried dandelion stimulates appetite.

13. Red grapes - Herb red grapes belong to the Vitaceae family. Kidney stones along with many other kidney problems can be prevented with the help of this fruit. It assists people in controlling the acidity of uric acid. It prevents any kind of pressure exerted on the kidneys by eliminating acid from the body system.
