CRIMINAL LAW Online Courses - Datalaw Ltd

The course begins with an overview of the concept of punishment and continues to study the burden of proof and criminal defenses; it also provides a critical look at the most common crimes. Students will learn the common terminology in criminal matters and will learn to consider a crime in depth based on its elements.

Objectives of the course

Participants will demonstrate the following skills by successfully completing all required courses and assignments:

  • Explain the concept of punishment.
  • Explain what is meant by "reasonable doubt".
  • Differentiate "inference", "obligatory presumption requiring evidence in refutation", "obligatory presumption that displaces the burden of proof" and "definitive presumption"
  • Discuss some of the limits of the criminal law courses.
  • Appoints the elements of the defense of madness.
  • Discuss childhood defenses, intoxication, coercion, needs, pitfalls and excessive government involvement.
  • Explain the self-defense elements and associated defenses.
  • Explain the concept of "intent".
  • Examine the extent of their responsibility for the criminal acts of others.
  • Discuss the crime of conspiracy.
  • Discuss the application of criminal law to companies.
  • Explain the constituent elements of the murder crime.
  • Examine the concept of causality in criminal law courses.
  • Lists the constituent elements of the crime of rape.
  • List the constituent elements of the crimes of aggression, aggression, aggravated aggression and aggression, chaos and abductions.
  • List of elements of the crime of theft.
  • Explain the types of theft.
  • Discuss the constituent elements of the crime of obtaining property under false pretenses.
  • Explain the elements of counterfeiting, receipt of stolen goods, theft, extortion, theft and fire.

EXPECTATIONS

It is an accelerated course. Students spend an average of 8 hours a week to read and finish writing. Note that extensions will not be granted for this online course. 70% is the minimum score to pass all the tests and assignments of this course. Students may consider working on the program if they have time. Criminal law online course is equivalent to 45 hours of study.

Prerequisites

Successfully complete Paralegal I and II or equivalent experience.
