Is Alcoholism a Disease or a Choice?

Do you believe that alcoholism is a disease or a choice? If you believe that, then do you believe that this is a disease or a choice?

We all know the answer to that question. To say that alcoholism is a disease, means that it is caused by nature. When it comes to a choice, that means that there is no known genetic factor for alcoholism.

The best way to determine the answer to this question is to look at the various theories about alcoholism. There are some who say that alcoholism is a choice, while others say that alcoholism is a disease. Those who believe that alcoholism is a choice, will say that someone who chooses to drink excessively is not really choosing to drink.

This view suggests that alcoholism is a choice that a person can choose to make. They are choosing to become intoxicated. However, if this is the case, why are they choosing to become intoxicated in the first place? Why would they continue drinking when the results could be so disastrous?

Other people will say that this is a disease and that is why we have to treat it as such. If alcoholism is a disease, then all the other drugs will have to be treated as such, which could include things like steroid use and depressants.

Those who do believe that alcoholism is a disease or a choice will say that all drugs have to be treated, including alcohol rehab. And if there is a choice, then the drug will have to be replaced with something else, because it is a choice.

If you believe that alcoholism is a disease, then it is not a good idea to go to alcohol rehab center. You can make the decision for yourself, whether you want to go to an alcohol rehab facility or not. Just because there is no known genetic factor for alcoholism does not mean that we should ignore this.
