Many and most of us think that the traveling is only encompassed within the boundaries of Round trip, one way and multi city, whereas traveling is much more of a wider concept that these. There is an array of options available that too when you are planning to travel in more than one city at a time.

The term “nested flight tickets” includes all the possibilities than just a single multi city booking, and a ticket that is well worth your time to experiment to extract a significant value for the same.

How Does a Nested Flight Ticket Works?

A nested trip is nothing but simply an event when you book two or more itinerary such that they overlay in a way, while one is nested within the other.

The same way, for the travelers traveling to Europe frequently, tend to book a round trip ticket to some European city and likewise secure a cheap flight to other places on low cost carriers.

Quite renowned as “hidden city ticketing.” Most of the frequent flyers choose to opt for nested ticketing  rather than an expensive direct flight and hence, foregoing the second connection.

It is one of the best options to go for and a great value to save a huge amount of wee when you are planning to go to the same destination for more than once. It is important to know that it does not work for places which yo only plan to visit once.

 Here is how it works:

In case of a usual round-trip itinerary, it includes flights flying from a point X to point Y, then from point Y to back to point X.

While in nested ticketing, you mix and match the two itineraries such as,

  •  Beginning with, you take the primary leg of round trip itinerary one, from X to Y,
  •  Then you’d take the primary leg of round trip itinerary two from Y to X.

The next ti8me you plan to visit the same destination, you take the remaining flight in each itinerary.

  •  You take the second leg of round trip itinerary two, from X to Y,
  •  Then you’d take the second leg of round trip itinerary one, from Y to X.

 PRO TIP:

It surely incurs risk but it would surely be hard for the airlines to catch you. To be more on a safer side, it is best to book your round trips on different airlines.
