CA Foundation Registration 2020 | Step-by-Step Process

CA Foundation is the first step towards becoming a qualified CA.

Eligibility Criteria is listed below:

1. Enrol for Foundation Course after appearing in 10+2 examination or         Class XII examination.

2. Complete 4 months Study Period for being eligible to appear in                   November/ May Foundation Course Examination respectively.

3. No restriction on the minimum percentage in XII required for eligibility.

The Foundation course registration is valid for three years and can be further revalidated for a period of three more years by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 300.

Paper-1: Principles and Practice of Accounting (100 Marks)

Paper-2: Business Law & Business Correspondence and Reporting (100 Marks)
Section A: Business Law (60 Marks)
Section B: Business Correspondence and Reporting (40 Marks)

Paper-3: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics (100 Marks)
Part I: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning (60 Marks)
Part II: Statistics (40 Marks)

Paper-4: Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge (100 Marks)
Part I: Business Economics (60 Marks)
Part II: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)

Paper-3 and Paper-4 are objective type papers with negative marking

Registering for CA Foundation Exam 2020

Documents Required For CA Foundation Registration 2020

Following documents are to be submitted to concerned Regional Office within 7 days of the date of online registration along with the print out of the online registration form.

1. The duly signed printout of online successful registration form in hard copy
2. Attested copy of Admit Card / Mark sheet of Class 12 examination issued by the respective Board
3. One recent colour photograph (affixed on the printout of the online successful registration form)
4. Attested copy of proof of Nationality, if the student is a foreigner
5. Attested copy of proof of special category certificate i.e SC/ST, OBC, Differently abled
6. Attested copy of the 10th Mark sheet/ Admit Card of 10th class indicating the Name & Date of Birth.

CA Foundation Online Registration Form 2020

1. Visit the website URL – https://sdb.icai.org/stud/defaul.aspx . Click on the “New User Registration” option if you don’t have an account already.

2. A new page with two options appears.
2A – if you already have an account to log in
2B – if you are new then you will have an option to register for new user

3. Next fill in the required details such as name, gender, date of birth, email address, mobile number, etc. Provide the correct mobile number as you will be getting an OTP on this number

4. Click on “Register”, an OTP will be generated for the mobile number & the email id you entered above

5. Enter the OTP received

6. The registration process is complete.

7. Enter the email id & password created by you to login

8. Once logged in, Upload the scanned images of passport size photograph, signature and other required original documents according to the instructions. Click on “Save”

9. Next, pay the fees using the online mode.

10. Your registration is successful.
