It is considered a smart idea to transport a PC in a car, it is more ideal than transporting it in the back of a moving truck. Here is the list of the tips to follow to transport your PC in a car: Back Up Your Data to a Hard Drive This is the initial and important step to take before packing your Personal Computer. Back up all the data present in your computer to a hard drive, so that you do not have the risk of losing it later. All your important work related and personal files will be safe in it. Take the Picture of the PC Take the picture of all the parts of your PC including the cords. It will help you later identify in case you are at a loss or damage. Taking this step will make sure that the parts of your PC are safe from the vibrations of the transporting process. Do the same with your mouse, modem, keyboard and other accessories. Put them in the Box Box up your monitor and CPU in the same box with using a lot of cushioning material. After filling the bottom of the box with the crumpled paper gently place your monitor and CPU in the box. Use more cushioning material to fill up the sides and the other spaces available in the box.
