Ranveer Singh was born as Ranveer Singh Bhavnani on the 6thof July in 1985 in Mumbai.
Since his childhood only, Ranveer wanted to become an actor and participated in several plays and debates in his school days. He was such a filmy kid that he used to watch TV all the time and would try to imitate characters.
When Ranveer found that it wasn’t that easy to get into the industry as an actor, he started focusing on his second passion which was creative writing. It was then that he joined the Indiana University in the US. He also kept up his acting classes besides his studies.
Ranveer worked in the Advertising Industry as a copy writer for a few years and then started working as an assistant director.
It was then that he left work as an assistant director to take up acting seriously and started out on giving his portfolios to directors thinking that a fresh face like his would bag him lead roles.
He also refused offers from television soaps and music videos only to concentrate on his acting career. This is also why he is where he is. Let’s admit, if Ranveer started acting in a daily soap, we could have never imagined him on the big screen.
Ranveer met with producers himself to ask for work. He was also offered minor roles once he was in the auditioning tour for four-five months straight and that is what made him feel discouraged. It also made him think about his passion for acting again and again.
But, it was January 2010, when Ranveer Singh Biography took a turn. Ranveer was called in for an audition with YRF and they told him that they were looking for a lead role for Band Baaja Baaraat. He was asked to perform 2 scenes and that is when Aditya Chopra was impressed by his acting skills and decided to give him the role of ‘Bitto Sharma’.

Ranveer Singh won the award for ‘Debutant’ in various film industry awards including the Filmfare.

Currently Ranveer Singh is also in motion for his new release for ‘83’ and is also working on ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’.
