There are several eyeglasses brands in the market these days. Not all the brands are worth your money.  Obviously, everyone wants to own a pair that not only creates style but also gives enhancement to your facial features.

People always go for a frame that suits their style and protects their eyes too. It can be a bit tricky to choose the one that exactly complements your personality, but any investment requires a little hard work. One does not want to lose money and end up buying a pair that is not worth the money spent. The first thing that comes to mind while buying eyeglasses is which brand to go for. Eyeglasses from a good brand are much more durable and convenient to wear as compared to non-branded ones. Here are some points to consider when you buy eyewear for yourself.

1)  Get the right eye prescription: Keep in mind that when you are buying new eyeglasses for yourself, you must have a right eye prescription. Go to an optometrist for an eye checkup. It will be very silly if one goes to buy eyewear without the latest prescription. It is very crucial to have an updated prescription.

2)  Right frame: A right frame is very important for lenses to fit in properly. Since glasses have to wear throughout the day, they must not cause pain behind the ear. The frames should be lightweight and sleek as possible. They should be comfortable and match your style.
Men’s eyeglasses come in a variety of frames. Cat eyes are one of the most popular frames among women.

3)  Size and shape of frame: While buying a frame, do not forget to go for a one that matches your facial appearance. The size and shape of the frame matter a lot. Your eyewear should never be wider than your face. It gives a very awkward look. Also, buy a frame that matches your profession.

4)  Suitable lenses: Choosing the right pair of lens is an utmost priority. Only they can offer you the precision of vision. Therefore, choose the lens material and lens power suitable for you. Select lenses based on the impairment you suffer from (myopia or hypermetropia). After a correct choice, you can further go for add- ons like anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating. The add-ons provide extra eye care.

5)  Price and quality: Cross check the price and quality of the latest brands and choose a one that fits your budget. The frame should be durable and flexible. It should not break with a little wear and tear.

6)  Check the return policy: Consider buying eye frames only from those online stores or local shops that have a return or refund policy. Sometimes glasses do not fit properly. On the other end, there is a high probability that customer suffers from size and clarity issues when eyeglasses are bought online. In such cases, when you buy eyeglasses online, it is wise to check if the store has a return policy.

7)  Face shape: Buy a frame that perfectly blends with the shape of your face. People having oval or round shape should go for rectangular or square frames while the ones with triangle, heart or diamond face cuts can try cat-eye frames.

Therefore while buying eyeglasses for women, a balanced look is very important. And for men, the frame should match their style.
