Light Up Your Space with Low-Voltage Solar Powered Lighting System

Solar energy is absolutely the new rage, but it is also a way to look out for the future of our planet and reduce our impact. Solar lights work because of the photovoltaic effect. The most significant part of a solar light is the photovoltaic or solar cell. The solar cell is the part that converts sunlight into direct electrical current. You can clearly see the solar cell as a dark panel at the top of a solar light.

A solar cell comprises of multiple layers of crystalline silicone and chemicals that create layers of negatively-charged electrons and positively-charged spaces. As sunlight passes through the solar cell, it excites the negatively-charged electrons and pushes them into the positively-charged spaces.

The positively-charged spaces then transfer the electron stream as a direct current of electricity through wires embedded into the solar cell to a battery where the electricity is stored until it's needed. The battery charges throughout the day as sunlight continues to be converted to electricity.

When evening approaches, the solar cell stops converting sunlight as it weakens and eventually disappears. A photoreceptor on the light detects when it's dark and turns on the light, which is generally made up of several light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The battery then supplies electricity to the light throughout the night. This process repeats on a daily cycle.

During the day, sunlight is converted to electricity and stored in the battery. At night, the battery supplies the electricity to the light until it is all used up or the photoreceptor shuts off the light as daylight reappears.

Solar panels are easy to install, generally only needing a few bolts to hold them secure and some basic wiring. Solar Powered Lighting System provides the solar power system at the top of the pole for most installation configurations, leaving all significant electrical material at the top of the pole.

Since there is no need for trenching, wiring between lights or metering required, the cost savings on installation can be huge. Since most of the expense for traditional lighting is through trenching and bringing in the grid power, solar is the go to decision. Every system stands alone and independent with its very own power source any grid power outage won't cause an outage of the whole solar system.

Since each solar light is powered by itself and not connected to the rest of the lights, there is no stress of a whole system failure, as in a grid connected system. Security of realizing that regardless of whether the power cuts out you can still rely upon having lighting ready for use with your charged solar powered lights.

A phenomenal factor is realizing the sun will always rise and you can collect energy with ever increasing solar power innovation. No matter if you are out for outdoors, climbing, or relaxing at home, you can rely on solar energy to provide you the power that you and your family can use.

So, choose highly efficient energy with Solar Powered Lighting System.
