Human bed-frames might come in different models and materials, but the basic design is the same. Dog beds however come in various sizes, shapes and designs, not only to suit all types of dogs, but also to suit different climates, home furnishings, locations etc.

People say that dogs sleep ‘with one eye open’ because they can react very quickly to a sudden or unusual noise or movement – much quicker than sleeping humans. But in fact this observation probably just reflects the type of sleep your dog is having. In order for your dog to feel fully rested after his long walk, it is recomended to invest in the best dog bed

Cooling dog beds have become popular in recent times. These come in a number of styles such a gel filled or the elevated dog bed. Elevated dog beds are raised off the ground (usually 18cm) The surface is breathable, usually a mesh cover stretched over a sturdy rectangular metal frame. This design prevents moisture and cold from coming into contact with your pooch on wet or cold days and allows air to circulate underneath on warm days.

If your dog spends time outside you should provide a bed there for daytime naps. Raised or elevated dog beds are ideal for this.
