2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB250 : Fitting in and Standing OutPosted by Anthony Wessal on February 3rd, 2020 Unveiling a new SUV these days may often seem like making small and overfine distinctions. You might not have seen much distinction between the subcompact Mercedes Benz GLA glass and the slightly larger-but-still compact GLC-Class. Interestingly, this is where the new GLB-Class SUV justifies its existence. However, rather than simply being between-the-legs shot, the GLB features a number of characters that define its presence. According to Mercedes-Benz Service Greensboro, what stands out about the GLV is its design. It seems to borrow a lot from Mercedes’ other new SUVs, the lower front fascia and the shape of taillights in particular. But stead of looking like freaking combination of the GLA and GLC, the all-new GLB actually takes after the Mercedes’ older GLK-Class. It’s boxy in all counts. The GLB and GLC are almost same when it comes to dimension. While the GLC is a little bit longer and wider, the GLB is a bit taller. Most surprisingly, the GLB’s squared-off edges offer more headroom and cargo space along side more front and rear legroom than the GLC. Although the 2020 Mercedes Benz GLB is decked out with a third-row bench seat for two, the two-person bench is small. The rearmost seat is ideal only for people 5-foot 6-inches or shorter. With two or three rows of seats, the second row of the new GMB slides fore or abaft about 6 inches to allow for extra legroom or cargo volume as per requirement. Under the hood, the GLB is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4 cylinder with excellent bottom-end torque that cranks out plenty of power. Speaking of fuel economy, the beefy engine endows the GLB with an impressive fuel-economy rating of up to 31 mpg on the highway. Irrespective of drive configuration, you are going to have an EPA-estimate 26 miles per gallon combined. Front wheel drive is standard, but 4Matic all wheel drive is available for ,000. If you want to reduce throttle response and keep the anti-lock brakes from intervening too quickly, you can opt for 4Matic and an Off-Road drive setting. You can also get Hill-descent control. But honestly speaking, the GLB250 is as much an off-roader as it is a seven-seater. Overall, Mercedes-Benz GLB250 is an impressive car.
