The best time to visit Kasol and Kheerganga depends upon your preference as a trekker. If you prefer warmer weather and spring, March to early June is the best seasons for your visit. However, if you are looking to trek in snow, and hoping for colder weather, November till early December, or late in January - February would be ideal! This adventure trek is marked as an easy level trek. The terrain of the trek is a gentle incline and decline, for the most part, getting steep for only some short parts. Moreover, the fact that the trek is for a short duration of 3 days and the total distance covered during the trek is 25 km, make this trek an easy one, ideal for beginners! While undertaking this backpackers’ trip to Kasol, make sure to explore the famous Israeli cafes and shop for wonderful souvenirs.

This beautiful trek will let you, the traveler, experience it all, starting from trekking and camping at a height of 2960 m, leading to a bath in the natural hot springs in Kheerganga, and all the while letting you bask in the breathtaking vistas of the River Parvati and the Himalayas covered in lush greens and pristine white. If you need, you can get trekking gear like trekking poles from a shop right outside the dam! You can also seek the help of our trek guide in order to get the best rates and quality of the trekking poles. During the trek to Kheerganga, you will come across the beautiful Rudra Nag Waterfall. Take a break there, dip your feet in the cool, clear water of the roaring waterfall and enjoy hot refreshments at the famous cafe located near the waterfall! The ancient Shiva temple, or the Rudra Nag temple, is located only some way away along the route to Kheerganga. It is especially popular amongst religious pilgrims. There are a lot of shortcuts along the way to Kheerganga, however, it is advised to follow the instructions of the trek leader carefully and avoid all such routes as they can get dangerous.
