When you buy a luxury vehicle, you easily become attached to it.  You are proud of the work put into making that dream car a reality.  You should be.  Yet, you may not want to break the bank every time a repair is in order.  When you need a spare part, it may be cheaper to visit a junkyard for a replacement piece.  If your car itself is ready for the junkyard, you can make money selling it for parts.  No matter what your luxury car situation is, here are some tips to help you maintain what you have:

Check your car’s oil:  Dad wasn’t lying when he said it’s important to check your engine’s oil.  At least once a month, check the oil to ensure your car has enough and that the oil is in good condition.  You may find your oil level is low!  Make sure your car is parked on level ground when checking the oil.

Measure air pressure:  In the golden days of car care, people cared a lot about their tires.  Many people inspected their car before every trip, especially road trips.  In today’s society, people are hot to hop in the driver’s seat and go.  Check your tires’ air pressure, though.  Make sure the tread is good and that the tires are not punctured.  You should visually inspect your tires anytime you get behind the wheel.

Wash Your Car: This isn’t just so that your car looks great.  You need to get that dirt and salt off the undercarriage so that it does not eat away at the important parts underneath the car.  Not to mention, people pay more for good looking cars (if you’re in the market to sell).  People in the junk my car industry swear by this rule.

If you love your car, it will love you back.  One day when it finds itself heading to the auto junk yards in Chicago, it will be sure to present itself in a way that gets you more cash for its parts.  In the meantime, you can get more miles and money out of your car with regular maintenance.
