This is a quick and easy recipe. I was eating some pasta salad at someone's house one night and it tasted all right but come to find out it came out of a box. About a week went by, I decided I was going to try to make pasta salad homemade. Trying to think of all the flavors that I would like in a pasta salad and I came up with this recipe. It is good for cookouts and bar-b-cue's. It is a good recipe if you need a side dish and you don't like potato salad. Me, I prefer not eating the same foods every time I eat. If you're like me, you like diversity when cooking. It can get tiresome eating the same foods over and over again.
- 16 oz package of shell noodles or vegetable noodles
- 1 package of bacon bits
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 1 can of peas
- 1-2 bottles of ranch dressing or pepper corn ranch dressing
Cook shell noodles according to directions on package then strain. Then put them in large bowl and chill in the refrigerator. Then add your package of bacon bits, onions, peas, and your choice of ranch dressing to your desired taste. If you like, you could chop some green onions and add them to the mixture for color. Chill in refrigerator. Then serve. It will be a good change of pace. I hope you enjoy this recipe and I hope this will take the place of the those box meals.
