Posted by Fastresult on February 10th, 2020

Windstream provides cable, telephone, email and Internet services to customers in 29 states. Telephone and cable troubleshooting require calling for service at 800-570-3215, but the Internet or email troubleshooting can typically be fulfilled right at home, especially if the problems you are encountering are related to Windstream Email Login and Windstream router settings.

  • Check that one end of the power cord is securely plugged into the back of the Windstream router.
  • Ensure that the cable is plugged into the exact router port if the DSL LED is not lit, as this means the router is not identifying a signal from the central office.
  • Check the Ethernet cable from the Windstream router to your system if the eNet LED is not lit. This indicates that the cable is not connected, you are using the wrong cable on your computer.
  • Contact Windstream's support executive at 800-570-3215 if the power LED remains red after the internet router powers up, as this means its POST cycle has failed.
  • Visit this URL searchredirect.windstream.net and click the "Opt-Out Of This Service" button in the bottom-right of the webpage if you want to opt-out of Windstream's error direct service, which redirects search engine results if it looks a possible error.

This is done by switching off the power to the router, and the device you are using. Any other things behind the Windstream router such as the other brand router, switch, firewall, etc. should be powered down. Leave all things off for two minutes. After the two minutes, restart the router and only power back up other things after the Windstream router has re-synced.

Important: If Windstream troubleshooting has already been completed, it cannot be disconnect again and again.
