Maris Ambats and Josh Reynolds the two inventors from New York introduced the world to mood rings. These rings were very popular in 1975 as it could change its color naturally people were curious to know about such ring and it became instant sensation despite of its high price the silver colored ring was  retailed for $ 45 and the setting in gold was available at $ 250.

Mood ringcontains a thermochromics element known as liquid crystal, which changes the colors based upon the body temperature whenliquid crystal is bonded with quartz stones it is ready to fit in your finger. The composition of mood rings have changed since 1970 but they are still made today.

• Black:  the ring reverts black when it exhausts its crystals but when wearer find this black color it means he or she is angry, overworked or depressed.

• PURPLE: the mood ring turn purple when you are having romantic moments with your girlfriend, wife, husband or boyfriend but if you have frequent meetings and your love has ripened then the mood ring color changes to dark blue. Purple color also states that the person is contented and has a balanced state of mind with whatever is going in life.
