Today many youths are moving towards becoming a professional and certified pharmacist instead of going for the regular or conventional jobs. The pharmacist job is in high demand in the UK because many professionals are seeking for it. If you are a qualified pharmacist and have a degree in the pharmacy then you are eligible to work as a pharmacist in any drug store in the UK.

Till a few years ago, pharmacist job was never considered a deserving or prestigious job in the society, but over the last few years, the view of society towards the pharmacist’s job has changed drastically. Now, people and professionals involved in pharmacy job are seen with more respect and dignity. A pharmacist is a person who works day and night in a pharmacy store to deliver the drugs to the needful patients. If pharmacist would not be there in any pharmacy store, then no patient would be able to get the right drug and they will not get any medical help as well.

Talking about the pharmacist job, it is always considered highly challenging both technically and physically. First of all, pharmacists usually have no fixed working hours like other jobs. Sometimes, a pharmacist has to work more than 8 hours a day and sometimes 24 hours a day if there is an emergency. Secondly, a professional pharmacy dispenser job requires comes with a lot of fatigue and mental pressure during any given situation. A pharmacist is always required to be multi-skilled and a multi-tasking person to carry on his/her duties more effectively and efficiently.

Pharmacists always need to be acquainted with information on the latest drugs and brands. A pharmacist needs to deal with thousands of drugs and multiple brands in a pharmacy store and he should know everything about any particular drug. A Pharmacist is not a doctor, therefore he cannot prescribe any drug to any patient formally, but he or she should know different molecules of drug their dosage and their implications so that they can guide patients accordingly. Most of the patients that go to the pharmacies store often ask the pharmacists about the drug especially its dosage and duration of the entire course; therefore pharmacists should know everything about that particular drug.

To become a professional pharmacist, a person needs to obtain a degree or diploma from any certified pharmacy school or university. Only certified pharmacists are allowed to work in the pharmacies stores and to have your pharmacies store, pharmacists require a valid license issued by the respective authority to run a pharmacies store. Being pharmacists what is most required for a person is to remain honest and since in their profession. There is a lot of pharmacists who use unethical work practices by substituting the prescribed drugs with the generic brands to gain more profit, which is considered a highly unethical job and it has its consequences. Therefore, pharmacist’s job is the job of great mental and physical abilities and positive attitude towards the customers.
