My Hair Care Favorites This Year

I’ve been testing out so many new or new to me hair care brands and products lately that I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some of my favorites from last month!

Mitch Stone Essentials Pro Hair Care line is from a well respected celebrity hair stylist who’s list of clients reads like a who’s who in Hollywood. I’ve heard raves about the whole like from fellow beauty blogger friends, so I was excited to try the Lustre Drops. This clear serum is no joke, and it knocks frizz out completely. A must have for Summer in my book. Plus, it smells like freshly squeezed oranges.

IT Haircare 12-in-1 Leave In Treatment is my new go-to post shower detangler+. My daughter and I have already gone through one bottle of this, and I refuse to be without it! It works so well on her super long, thick hair. I also like it as a detangler and heat protectant for my thick hair. The only drawback is the sprayer which seems to break halfway through the bottle.

If you have kids and a pool, you need to try out the new Splash line from So Cozy! My daughter has been using the Swim Leave-In before she goes into the pool to protect her long locks. She also uses it after she showers and throws a braid in. So far this swim season, her hair is much less tangly and dry.

I recently got some new products to try from OGX, which is a line I’ve loved for ages. (Their Renewing Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner is a household staple!) The new Weightless Oil + Lifting Tonic is a lightweight oil with a touch of hold. I haven’t used anything quite like this product before, and I absolutely love it. It’s meant for fine hair, but works just as well with my thick heavy hair. It can be used on wet hair before blow drying to cut down on frizz and add volume, or spritzed on ends to freshen and add shine. A bonus that isn’t mentioned on the packaging? It smells fabulous, and works great as a dirty hair refresher!

I have two new favorite Dry Shampoos this month. My budget friendly favorite is from one of my fave hair care brands, Hask. I pick the dry shampoos up at ULTA when they have BOGO 50% on Hask, which seems to be pretty frequently. I’ve been testing a few samples from Redken out, and I’m loving their Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender. I like the scent of this better than the Hask. Redken is buy two get one free at ULTA right now, so it’s a great time to stock up.
