Landscape in the form of an independent genre appeared in ancient China as a lyrical direction, glorifying the beauty and grace of pristine nature. Chinese artists subtly painted mountain peaks, stones, bamboo branches, sakura flowers and curved pine trees. The paintings were created in the form of monochrome monochrome landscapes and were accompanied by hieroglyphs. Chinese art had a great influence on the development of the landscape in the countries of the Far East: Japan, Mongolia, Korea.
