With a Texas Instruments 83, Accuracy extends to 14 digits in real and complex numbers, and the display shows 10 digits with a two digit exponent. There can be up to 10 graphing functions that can be defined, saved, displayed, and analyzed at one time. Graphs can be displayed in seven different styles and analyzed for function values, roots, maximums, minimums, integrals, and derivatives.

Statistical graphing types include scatter, xy-line, histograms, box and whisker, and normal probability plots. Business functions include Time-Value-of-Money, cash flow, and amortization

The keyboard is divided into four zones to help the user to find the right buttons to push and the graphing buttons are located directly under the screen. The keys are also color coded to further assist in user’s ability to quickly locate the right buttons.

Standard preloaded Applications are Probability Simulation, Science Tools, StudyCards™, and Vernier EasyData™. In addition 35 applications are also available for download from the Texas Instruments website that can expand the utility and ease of use for the TI-83 Plus.
