Looking at the conditions at present, the need of the hour is to save energy. With all our activities, we are moving very fast towards an energy crisis. At the present moment, it is important that we shift our focus from everything else and think about energy efficiency. But how are we going to contribute towards energy saving when we are all living lives that are completely dependent on various kinds of energies? With the constant rise in the temperature and heat, the utilization of air conditioners and water coolers increases. Now, we don’t have to elaborate on how much that contributes to energy utilization.  Can we possible do anything about this?

Heat Block Coating in India

It is obvious that the temperature rise cannot be controlled. However, one thing which can be done is to prevent the amount of heat that travels to the indoors of our houses. In this case, it should be made clear that this is nowhere related to using curtains, blinds or tinted glasses. These are some of the very common alternatives that have been used widely by people from all across the world in order to protect the indoors of commercial and residential edifices from the harmful impact of heat and temperature. But there is a new and better alternative that has emerged in recent times and that is low e coating for glass surfaces.

In a country like India, this is a fairly new technique. In most parts of the world, this technique has been widely accepted and is being used with full enthusiasm. This is a heat block coating for glass surfaces that are extremely beneficial in blocking most part of the infrared rays that are responsible for causing heat in the atmosphere.

In summers, when there is increased use of ACs and water coolers, the application of low e coating for glass surfaces can be very beneficial. As these coatings do not let the infrared rays to pass through the glass surfaces, the utilization of the cooling appliances is reduced to a certain level. The reduction in the utilization of these applications helps in saving the amount of energy consumption. In the majority of cities in India, the energy consumption in summers gets higher because of the utilization of these cooling appliances. With the utilization of low e coating for glass surfaces on a large scale, the energy consumption can be reduced to a significant level.
