Know about the different types of pool lights

If we want to have a pool with lights, the best time to prepare the installation of the wiring and other elements is during the construction of it. If we decide to light an already built pool, the process can be much more complex.

Luckily, we can opt for less conventional light sources and provide our pool with a more original way.

Install lights in an already built pool:

The most complicated case may already involve making holes in the glass, to pass the wiring, putting at risk the tightness of the pool.
The first thing we have to check is if we still have the guarantee of the builder/installer of the pool. This is crucial since, if we alter its structure, the warranty is voided immediately.

Install lights in the pool:

We can use Pentair globrite color led lights for the surface pool or recessed, the first being the most used in these cases since its installation is less invasive.

An alternative to passing the wires by piercing the pool vessel is to place them inside a profile or half tube and place them on the surface, but the result is much less aesthetic.

Finally, insist on the importance of requesting the guarantee, always in writing, of any modification that may affect the integrity of the pool and its proper functioning.

How to light a pool without doing work?

As we have seen, installing a spa lights system in an already built pool is expensive and we run the risk of leaks in the future. Fortunately, in effect LED we bring you several alternative ways to illuminate the pool without the need for complicated works.

Spotlights:

This is the simplest alternative. Installing an LED projector is easy and fast. Also, we can choose a wide variety of powers, color temperatures and even use RGB spotlights to project colored lights over the pool.

Integrated architectural light:

A very interesting alternative if our pool is attached or very close, to the house or other architectural elements such as pergolas or gazebos. In this case, we can integrate the light into a nearby structure so that it is projected towards the pool area.

With this alternative, it may be necessary to do some work, but in no case will it be necessary to act on the pool.
