SWTOR Archaeology Leveling Guide - How To Level Archaeology From Level 1 To 400!

In this article I will give you a basic leveling guide for the crew skill Archaeology.
Firstly here is an overview of the D3 gold Archaeology Crew Skill and how it works:
Archaeology is a skill that allows you to collect colour crystals, power crystals and artefacts from around the universe as you play the game. You will also be able to send your companion off on missions to collect the items if you want to spend some credits to speed things up a little.
However that said if you know how to level Archaeology then you will find that you normally get enough of these items as you are leveling. The key is to level the skill while you are playing or you can find that you will have to go backwards through the game once you get to the higher levels.
Here is an Archaeology Leveling Guide that you can use to help you work out where you should be at which level.
SWTOR Archaeology Leveling Guide 1-90:
When you start out with Archaeology you should be able to level it to 90 from the start. Although it will be a different planet you go to depending on whether you are playing as Empire or Republic.
For Republic you should head to Coruscant and if you are Empire you should head to Dromund Kaas.
The items you will be farming at this level are Lost Artefact Fragments, Blue Amorphous Crystals, Red Amorphous Crystals, Green Amorphous Crystals and Rubat Crystals.
All you need to do is turn on your map to pick up the nodes and you will see loads on both planets here!
Keep on farming until you reach level 60 and then you will see that the levels increase of each node anyway so you should be able to get your Archaeology skill to 90 here.
Archaeology Levels 90-140:
Next up you need to head to Taris for Republic or Balmorra for Empire.
Here you will be farming Grade 2 items which are:
Sacred Artifact Fragments
Red Igneous Crystals
Green Igneous Crystals
Blue Igneous Crystals
Nextor Crystals
Eralam Crystals
Again for both factions just switch on the node finder on your map and you will find these dotted about on both planets.
You should be able to get to level 140 in Archaeology here.
Archaeology Levels 140-175:
Now you need to head over to Tatooine where you will be farming:
Blue Opaque Crystals
Red Opaque Crystals
Green Opaque Crystals
Prehistoric Artefact Fragments
Bondar Crystals
Nextor Crystals
You should aim to stay diablo 3 power leveling here and farm until you are level 175.
To get your skill up to 185-200 you should head to Alderaan and here you will get Ancient Artefact Fragments and Opila Crystals
Archaeology Levels 200-250:
Now if you are playing as Sith Empire head over to Belsavis and for Republic you can head to Voss.
Here you will be farming:
Red Lucent Crystals
Blue Lucent Crystals
Green Lucent Crystals
Phond Crystals
Hypertech Artifact Fragments
Alien Artefact Fragements
Belsavis has quite a few nodes if you head over to the Tomb but again you just need to use your map on both planets.
Archaeology Levels 250-400:
You are now going to be farming Grade 5 items and for both factions you should head over to Corellia.
Here you will be farming:
Primeval Artefact Fragments
Green Polychromic Crystals
Red Polychromic Crystals
Blue Polychromic Crystals
Alien Artefact Fragment
Damind Crystals
Upari Crystals
Archaeology Level 400
If you want a change of scenery then head over to Ilum and you will be able to reach level cap of Archaeology.
Here you will farm the same items as ondiablo 3 power leveling Corellia but they will be a higher level.
Well done, you have just maxed out the Archaeology Gathering Skill on SWTOR!
