How can you control liquid levels with level control valves

The advancements of technology have made our lives easier in numerous ways. Technology has come a long way to introduce high-tech gadgets, tools and machines to solve problems or perform a particular function instantly without much human intervention. Say for example, the liquid level control valves. These tools used for controlling the liquid level in containers, drums and tanks help us avoid the problems of overflowing of the liquid from the storage containers. With these level control tools, you will be total control of the liquid stored in a container and its levels. Excessive or too little liquid in a storage drum can be harmful at times and thus, it should be monitored and controlled. The devices used for liquid level controls make you aware of the liquid level in a container.
What types of tools can be used for managing liquid levels? There are myriads of techniques that can be employed to check the liquid levels. These techniques are usually categorized as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic methods. These methods use different types of level control valves to manage the levels of liquids.
Mechanical Process: This method uses equipments like float valves which come with a float valve, a float device and a stem to check the liquid level in a tank. The valve is basically connected to the float device through the stem. This checks the water flow with the opening and closing of the valve. These devices used for liquid level controls are usually utilized for sanitary plumbing systems. A pilot operated float valve is used when it is necessary to maintain a constant water level within a short range. The valve allows discharging of liquid at a pace directly proportional the change in liquid levels.
Electrical Method: This method uses pressure switches and solenoid operated level control valves to maintain the liquid levels in tanks and reservoirs. The solenoid valves are differential piston components that open and close by activating and  deactivating a 3-way solenoid pilot valve. You can also use a 4-way solenoid pilot valve for liquid level controls. In this system, the main valve can be placed in the same manner as double acting cylinder by activating the proper solenoid coils.
Pneumatically-Controlled Method: In this method, a bubbler tube and a GA valve is used for measuring the water level. A positioner is placed on the valve to compare the position of the valve with a 3-15 PSI air signal. It operates the pilot valves to position the principal valve.
Hydraulically-Controlled  Method: In these method, altitude valves are used for liquid level controls. These level control valves come with wide varieties and they execute their functions automatically. They do not require any external power for its operation. The valve extracts all its power from the pressure created within the pipe and functions by detecting the weight of the water stored above its control pilot.
