Guild Wars 2 - The Thief Profession

The Thief profession uses a new mechanic called "initiative". Every Thief can store up to a maximum of 10 initiative, which regenerates at a rate of 1 initiative per second. Thisdiablo 3 power leveling means that a Thief can choose to either use up all their initiative in one go, at the cost of being unable to attack again for several seconds, or use initiative at a steady pace so that they always have some backup initiative in case of an emergency where the initiative may need to be used to make a quick escape.

A difference between the Thief profession and similar classes in other games is that the Thief can only remain stealthed for a limited amount of time (up to 30 seconds), this means the Thief needs to be a lot more careful about where and when they use stealth, and only use it when it is absolutely necessary. The Thief is an extremely fast class, and even has several teleportation abilities that can be used to pounce upon your enemies, or flee from battle when your initiative is low.

Another unique and exciting ability is the ability to steal objects from foes. For example a Thief could stealth up to a giant tree creature and stealth a branch from it, then take that branch to another creature to whack it over the head with the branch. There are all sorts of objects that can be stolen diablo 3 power leveling within the game world that can be used to devastating, and sometimes hilarious effect.

Thiefs have a limited array of weapons available to them; sword, dagger, pistol, and shortbow. By combining these weapons into pairs you are able to adjust what abilities are available to you. For example a dagger in the main hand and a pistol in the offhand unlocks "Shadow Shot", while a sword in the main hand and a dagger in the offhand unlocks "Flanking Strike". You are able to carry two weapon sets on you at one time, and can switch between weapon sets in combat to unlock the different abilities, but there is a cooldown.

Every race can become a thief; Human, Norn, Sylvari, Asura, and Charr. The different races provide different abilities specific to that race, and upon developing the personal story of your character you can unlock different race specific abilities. For example one Norn Thief may have the ability to transform into a wolf, while another can transform into a bear.

The Thief profession is very much about controlling diablo 3 powerleveling your space, getting in and doing as much damage to your enemy as possible while your initiative is high, and then getting out quickly while you wait for your initiative to charge back up. I believe the Thief is going to be a very fun profession to play.
