Why are One Night Stands More Popular Than Dating?

We all need some help when dating. 

We've all heard the statistics on one-night stands, but what is the real rate of occurrence? What percentage of relationships do end up in a relationship lasting longer than one night? Dating today is more difficult than ever before. 

The latest numbers show that one night stands are becoming increasingly less common in society. On the surface it may seem that the popularity of one-night stands is decreasing as we age. But that statistic is misleading.

These types of relationships have always been around, they just aren't as common. The only change that has occurred is that people are beginning to realize that these relationships are not healthy for a long term relationship. There is a great deal of concern that as the population ages this type of relationship will become more acceptable. 

Let's face it, who does not enjoy one night stands? For some, these acts of nature are an absolute gift. It gives them an opportunity to break free from their emotional bonds and become wild and free.

For others however, there is no escape, this act is all about the great abundance that the act creates. Sometimes the amount of sex is enough to sustain a relationship for an extended period of time. This is a relationship that does not work in most cases, as long as there is sex involved it will most likely fall apart. 

This is one reason why so many people try to avoid dating after one night stands. They feel that the stigma attached to this kind of relationship will destroy their chances of finding the right person to make them happy. There is nothing wrong with avoiding dating after one night stands, but don't forget that you should be trying to find someone to enjoy themselves with, not someone to indulge in sexual acts with.

Dating today is easier than ever before. You can get a lot out of online dating, where people can spend their time meeting others with a wide variety of interests. The problem lies in knowing how to go about it.

Some people use dating websites, or community forums, to meet people who share the same interests as them. While these sites can help you get started, they do not offer much in the way of support. If you want to find true love, online is not the best place to start 

Many people try dating after one night stands because they want to get into a long term relationship with someone who shares their values and outlook on life. The only problem with these types of relationships is that they take a long time to develop. This means that once you decide that you want to get involved with someone, it takes a while before things really take off.

Online dating provides an easier method to go about it. You can look at profiles that others have posted and then choose those that appear to be interesting to you. The good thing about online dating is that you can browse thousands of profiles in a matter of minutes, rather than being restricted to those that you see in a social networking site.

If you do decide to take the next step and go on an offline date, make sure that you make the effort to meet someone in the real world. The chances of a successful one-night stand are reduced if you don't do your research ahead of time. For example, do your homework about the person that you are going to meet. 

Going on a date can be a great start to a long and meaningful relationship. You just need to be ready to make the effort and put in the time to find the right person.
