Originally called the Hattie Mine, the mine dates back to 1888 and is a perfect example of hard rock gold mines. It's a real mine from the Gold Rush era and when you enter this historic mine, you get to step back in time and experience what it was like to be a miner back in those days. The Gold Bug Mine has a solid wooden floor, lighting throughout, and an air shaft providing clean cool air at all times. This mine is available for guided group tours as well as self-guided audio tours.
